hello, i am max. no, it is not short for maximilian or anything fancy like that. just max. anyways, i was born san francisco, california. my parents i guess were what you'd call lower middle class. my mom worked in a cafe and my dad was a fisherman, so you can imagine why we weren't a rich bunch, can't you? i spend most of my childhood running up and down the hills and down to the cliffs by the beach. my parents never appreciated me rocketing down those steep hills and jumping around the rocks above the crashing waves but that never stopped me. they were never home anyways so me and my friends (or just me) would go out there all day. it made for a lot of fun and we'd usually explore everything that we found or ride out bikes down the slopes on our streets. riding back up was never fun...
when i was a preteen i started getting into the music scene as there always seemed to be a band playing somewhere around the city. i always got attention too since i would do just about anything. at first i sucked at getting up on the stage and trying to mimic the other guys doing stunts and diving into the crowd. or they would swing their instruments around while screaming their lungs out. i couldn't do any of that. i would most commonly be found falling flat on my face or getting hit with a mic. somehow, with all my grace and talent, i got into a band. and i think that was when my craving for attention and "bad ideas" really started to manifest.
since there was no way in hell i could be still enough or patient enough to learn how to plan an instrument i took my spot as the lead singer. perfect really since i was addicted to having eyes watching me. and i always liked to push my limits. i didn't just like to sing. i liked to be completely wild and kick off the side of walls to flip around or play with some matches. i can't exactly repeat some things i did. i wouldn't want someone finding me out for some damage... in any case, the other band members weren't too happy with people seeming to only come to watch that psychopath shit on the stage and i inevitably got kicked out after breaking my right foot on a chair. yeah, that's a long story.
the cri de coeur actually sort of found me. i guess one or two of the performers had seen or heard of me and i was asked to come in to interview. and seeing as how my parents were beyond sick of me and my pals thought i was just some asshole attention whore, i jumped all over that interview. and what do you know. i'm a daredevil. i have no problem with it. i love new challenges and i don't mind getting hurt in the process to learn it. i'm pretty tough, i think, so i can take that crap. i say bring it on. and the audience no matter how horribly painful something looks will always want to see more. needless to say, this lifestyle is surprisingly perfect for me.
